Buying Jeans From Pakistan for the USA, UK and EU: A Buyer Guide

What USA, UK and EU buyers should know before sourcing jeans from a manufacturer in Pakistan.

  • From 50 pieces per style
  • Paid sample before bulk
  • QC photos and video before shipping

Pakistan is a major denim producer, and brands in the USA, UK and EU source jeans from it for good reasons: strong denim know-how, flexible production and the ability to make from small runs. If you are considering this route, there are practical questions worth answering before you place an order. This guide covers what buyers in those markets should know.

Why brands source denim in Pakistan

Denim is a long-standing industry in Pakistan, and many factories handle everything from cutting and sewing to washing and finishing. For a new or growing label, that means one partner can take a jean from sketch to finished product. Our own process covers denim washes and finishes alongside sewing, so you do not need to coordinate several suppliers.

Start with the right product

Jeans have many variables: fit, rise, leg shape, fabric weight and wash. Be specific about what you want to sell.

  • **Fit and shape:** straight, wide-leg, flared, baggy, ripped or distressed
  • **Fabric:** rigid or stretch, light or heavy weight
  • **Wash:** rinse, stone, enzyme, acid or custom
  • **Details:** pockets, topstitching, hardware and labels

Browse the range in jeans and trousers, and read how to choose a fit and fabric before you brief a factory.

Minimum order quantity

A common frustration for new brands is high minimums. We make from 50 pieces per style, which lets you test several fits instead of committing to one. Always confirm whether the minimum applies per style, per colour or per wash, and get it in writing. More on this in our low MOQ guide.

Samples come first

Never order bulk jeans without approving a sample. A sample confirms fit, fabric, wash and trims. Ours is a paid sample you approve before bulk starts. Review it on the body, wash it once to check shrinkage and colour, and compare it with your spec. The sample approval checklist gives you a repeatable method.

Fit, sizing and grading

Fit is the main reason jeans are returned, so size charts matter. Provide your size chart and grading rules, or a reference pair we can measure. Agree tolerances on key points such as waist, rise, thigh and inseam. See our guide to creating a size chart and grading for production.

Labels and compliance

Labels are not decoration: your destination market may require specific information on them. In the USA, apparel generally carries fibre content, country of origin and care instructions. In the EU and UK, fibre composition must be stated and care symbols are commonly used. Rules vary and change, so confirm requirements with your importer or compliance adviser, then give us the exact wording and artwork. We sew labels to your brief. See our pages for the USA, the UK and Germany for market notes.

Duty and shipping

Import duty depends on your product, country and trade arrangements, and your customs broker is the right person to confirm it. Pakistan currently benefits from the EU GSP+ scheme, which can reduce duty on eligible goods, and it may qualify under the UK Developing Countries Trading Scheme. Do not assume either applies to your style without checking. Shipping terms and routes are agreed in each quotation, and you receive QC photos and video before your order ships.

Quality control you can see

Inspection means little unless you see it. Ask for photos and video of your actual order, showing measurements, stitching, washes and hardware, before you approve shipping. Our quality control page explains the checks.

Communication and time zones

Working across time zones is easier with clear written briefs. Send specs in a tech pack, confirm decisions by email and keep a record of approvals. A good manufacturer will ask questions early rather than guess.

A simple buying checklist

  1. Define your fit, fabric and wash.
  2. Send a sketch, tech pack or reference pair.
  3. Confirm MOQ and the quotation in writing.
  4. Approve a paid sample.
  5. Confirm labels and packaging for your market.
  6. Review QC photos and video.
  7. Agree shipping terms and documents.

Questions buyers ask when importing jeans

Do I need a big first order?

No. We make from 50 pieces per style, so you can test several fits and washes before you scale. Order quantities are confirmed in your quotation.

How do I compare quotations from different factories?

Compare like with like. Send the same tech pack, fabric, wash and trims to each, and check that every quotation states the minimum, the sample terms, the labels and packaging, and what is included. A low figure that leaves out washing or trims is not really lower.

What should I ask my importer?

Ask which documents they need, how your product will be classified, and which labelling rules apply in your market. Then give us the wording and artwork so the labels are right from the first sample.

Can I visit or check the order remotely?

You can review QC photos and video of your order before it ships, so you can check measurements, stitching and washes from wherever you are.
