A strong range usually mixes two or three staple fits with a few trend pieces. Start with the staples, then add the trend pieces once the first styles prove themselves.

Fit and finish drive everything else. Settle these points early so the sample reflects your real intent.
Range planning helps here. Many buyers pick one hero fit, one trend fit and one comfort fit such as elastic-waist or drawstring. That mix gives a store something for every shopper without splitting a small order across too many cuts.

Common ways brands customise it
